Advocate General Islamabad Naveed Malik informed the Islamabad High Court that PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, are not being held in solitary confinement and are, in fact, being provided with facilities superior to those of B-class prisoners. This statement was made during a hearing on petitions against their alleged solitary confinement. Jail Superintendent Sajid Baig, also present in court, reiterated that Imran Khan has free movement within a seven-cell compound and access to a TV, newspapers, and books, with over 500 books provided so far.
However, Barrister Salman Safdar, representing the PTI founder, claimed that his client's eyesight had been affected. He also alleged that his client had been denied meetings for seven months and phone calls with his sons for eight months, describing the situation as psychological torture.
