Paraglider Survives Mid-Air Collision With Aircraft Over Austria
AUSTRIA – A 44-year-old female paraglider made a miraculous escape after her parachute was struck by a light aircraft in mid-air over Piesendorf, Austria.
The paraglider, identified as Sabrina, was recording her flight on video when the small plane collided with her parachute, tearing the canopy. The footage captured the dramatic moment of impact and her subsequent rapid descent.
Despite the emergency, she remained composed and successfully deployed her reserve parachute, which allowed her to land safely. The 28-year-old pilot of the aircraft also landed without incident. Both individuals escaped the collision unhurt, according to media reports.
