Speaking on the matter, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif added that the federal government faces no threat from the planned protests. "In PTI, every person is fighting a war for their own survival or interests," he stated. "There are few political people in PTI, the rest are all about violence."

Asif further commented, "They are enough for each other, we don't need to say anything." He also noted that Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon had indicated he would not respond to the KP Chief Minister's statements.

Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Tuesday dismissed the significance of the protest call issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, claiming it was motivated by an internal party power struggle rather than a threat to the federal government.

Speaking to a private news channel, Asif alleged that the KP Chief Minister's call for protest was a move to "save his own chair" and to "get rid of Ali Amin Gandapur."

Reports on Monday, September 7, indicated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was unable to hold a planned rally at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi as part of the party's public mobilisation campaign in Sindh.

Addressing the Sindh High Court Bar in Karachi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi elaborated on his criticism of the Sindh government. He accused the provincial leadership of hypocrisy, stating, "On one hand, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari welcomes us, on the other hand, trenches are dug in the roads and our workers are arrested."

Afridi saluted the people of Sindh for "resisting fascism" and questioned the authority of the Sindh Chief Minister. He challenged the Pakistan Peoples Party, suggesting that if they were sincere about provincial rights, the President, Senate Chairman, and three governors from their party should resign to allow for "real democracy". PTI Sindh spokesman Muhammad Ali Baloch said the convoy was travelling peacefully and questioned the restrictions. “Bilawal Bhutto is welcomed when he visits Larkana. Why are barriers being placed when the KP chief minister comes to Karachi?” he asked, adding that thousands of party workers had reportedly reached the Karachi Toll Plaza.
