Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar stated on Monday that Pakistan’s international legal stance on water security has been supported globally. Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad alongside Minister for Climate Change Musadik Malik, Tarar addressed the country’s rights under the Indus Waters Treaty.

He asserted that the treaty between Pakistan and India “cannot be unilaterally revoked, abolished or amended.”

The information minister also announced that a seminar will be held in Islamabad on Tuesday to raise awareness about Pakistan’s rights under the agreement.
