A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against the husband of a French national following his arrest in Bara, Khyber District. The woman alleged in a formal complaint that she and her children had been subjected to domestic abuse and physical torture for the past 12 years.
The FIR was registered under sections of the Pakistan Penal Code for wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation, and causing injury, as well as the KP Domestic Violence against Women Act. The woman and her children have been moved to a secure police facility, and she has expressed a desire to be repatriated.
