Political Leaders Call for Immediate Petrol Price Reductions

Following the federal government’s announcement of a significant cut in petroleum prices, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has ordered immediate measures to reduce transport and goods fares across the province. She emphasized that the full benefit of the price reduction must be passed on to the public and suggested that the prices of food items should also decrease accordingly.

Welcoming the move, the chief minister praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for fulfilling his promise to lower fuel prices as the regional situation improved. She also commended the premier and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their “historic efforts” which she said saved the world from a potential energy and economic crisis.
