Putin Shuts Down Indian Journalist’s Anti-Pakistan Question

Speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russian forces have recently taken control of 2,440 square kilometers of territory in Ukraine.

Despite the advance, Putin reiterated that Russia is prepared to seek a peaceful resolution to the conflict, noting that Moscow has made similar offers in the past.

At the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a direct response to an Indian journalist’s question about Pakistan-China relations, asserting that it is incorrect to say Pakistan is under Chinese influence.

President Putin described Pakistan as a “large, sovereign country” with its own diverse foreign relations. During the same session, he also spoke about Russia’s continued military cooperation with China and its relationship of trust with Iran, stating Russia could help in resolving crises involving Tehran.
