APCC to meet June 1, propose Rs 1,126bn PSDP, 4% GDP growth
The Annual Plan Coordination Committee (APCC) will meet on June 1 to finalize key proposals for the 2026-27 federal budget. The meeting, to be chaired by Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, will approve the development budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
According to sources, a Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) worth Rs 1,126 billion is being proposed for the fiscal year 2026-27. The committee will also recommend a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth target of 4 percent.
Representatives from federal ministries and all provinces will participate in the session. The proposals approved by the APCC will subsequently be presented to the National Economic Council (NEC), chaired by the Prime Minister, for final endorsement in a meeting expected on June 3.
