Iran Rejects Nuclear Talks, Demands ‘Practical Actions’ Not Promises
Iranian officials have stated that their current focus is on ending the war and that there are no ongoing negotiations regarding the country’s nuclear program.
A spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghaei, told Iranian media that the management of the Strait of Hormuz is a matter to be decided by Iran and Oman.
Separately, the head of Iran’s negotiating team, Baqer Qalibaf, dismissed American guarantees as unreliable. “We do not trust promises and guarantees; for us, only practical actions are the real standard,” Qalibaf stated, adding that his side would not take any action before the opposing party does.
Qalibaf further remarked, “We get concessions not through dialogue, but through missiles. In negotiations, we only inform about reality.”
