In Lahore, significant gatherings took place at venues including the Badshahi Mosque and Minar-e-Pakistan, after which citizens performed the ritual of sacrifice.
The leadership of the armed forces, including the army, air, and naval chiefs, extended Eid greetings to the nation. In a statement, the military’s media wing reaffirmed the armed forces’ commitment to defending national sovereignty and paid special tribute to the families of martyrs, acknowledging their sacrifices have strengthened the country’s foundations.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir celebrated Eid-ul-Azha with frontline troops deployed in Zhob District, Balochistan, along the western frontiers. The COAS commended the soldiers for their unwavering resolve and vigilance against foreign-sponsored terrorism.
Paying tribute to fallen soldiers, he reaffirmed that the armed forces’ morale remains unshaken. Referencing a recent terrorist incident in Quetta, which he attributed to Indian-sponsored elements, the Army Chief stated that such acts would not weaken the nation’s resolve and vowed that the armed forces, in coordination with law enforcement, would pursue all perpetrators and their facilitators with full force.

Government and private sector offices in Karachi saw thin attendance on Friday, the first working day following the Eid-ul-Adha holidays. The low turnout is a recurring phenomenon attributed to staff extending their festive break or facing logistical challenges while returning from out-of-town travel. Many of those present were observed discussing their Eid celebrations, sacrificial animals, and experiences with butchers.
