The Kuwaiti military has confirmed that the country was targeted by missile and drone attacks, stating its air defense systems successfully thwarted the assaults. In a statement, the military said its air defenses remain continuously active and are responding effectively to enemy attacks. It added that sounds of explosions heard in various areas were the result of defensive interceptions of incoming missiles and drones.
Authorities have urged citizens to fully comply with security and safety instructions issued by relevant agencies and to avoid unverified information. Officials stated the situation is being continuously monitored and security agencies are on full alert.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) has claimed that Iran fired a ballistic missile towards Kuwait, which was successfully intercepted and destroyed in mid-air by Kuwaiti forces. US officials have termed the action a ‘serious violation’ of the ceasefire.
CENTCOM also reported that five Iranian suicide drones were launched near the Strait of Hormuz, all of which were successfully intercepted. A sixth drone launch from a ground control site in Bandar Abbas was reportedly thwarted. In response, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the missile and drone attacks, calling them a ‘dangerous provocation’ and a violation of its sovereignty. Kuwait has demanded that Iran immediately cease these actions and accept full responsibility, reserving its right to self-defence under international law.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claim to have attacked a US airbase in the region from which strikes on Iran were allegedly launched, warning of a “more decisive” response to any further American aggression. The IRGC also stated it blocked three ships from entering the Strait of Hormuz.
Separately, reports indicate Iranian forces fired upon a US oil tanker in the Strait, forcing it to turn back after it allegedly attempted to pass with its radar off. Meanwhile, the US has claimed to have shot down three Iranian drones, stating its recent actions were intended to neutralize threats to its forces and commercial vessels.
