On the sidelines of his visit to the United Nations, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with his Azerbaijani counterpart in New York to discuss bilateral relations. Both ministers expressed satisfaction with the current pace of defense cooperation and agreed to further strengthen ties under their respective national leadership.
The leaders also agreed to enhance economic benefits through preferential trade and transit agreements, and to expand cooperation in the energy and LNG sectors. During the meeting, they reaffirmed their shared commitment to the UN Charter and emphasized the importance of an effective voice for the Global South in the international system.
