Federal Government Reaches Gas Supply Agreement with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
ISLAMABAD – An agreement on gas supply has been reached following successful negotiations between the federal government and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
Under the new arrangement, the federal government has committed to providing a daily supply of 25 MMCFD of gas to the province. As a result of the deal, CNG stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be permitted to operate daily from 6 am to 6 pm.
Separately, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi lamented that the province’s wheat supply is being obstructed by Punjab. He noted that his province supplies both gas and electricity to the country.
