Islamabad hosts event celebrating 75 years of Pak-China relations

The diplomatic relationship was described as an “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership” built on mutual trust and respect that has stood the test of time. During the event, China was praised for its consistent support for Pakistan’s security and sovereignty.

The Senate passed a unanimous resolution to mark the occasion, while Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the One-China policy. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also scheduled to visit China from May 24-26 to launch the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). During the visit, agreements and MoUs worth over $5 billion are expected to be signed.
