Five Terrorists Killed in Bannu Security Operations
Security forces have eliminated five terrorists, including a key commander, during a series of intelligence-based operations in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Officials identified one of the slain militants as commander Mansoor. Another terrorist, Mutiullah, was described as a prominent target killer associated with the Zargul group.
According to the Regional Police Officer (RPO) for Bannu, the operations are ongoing and were launched following a recent attack on the Fateh Khel police post. The RPO stated that the killed terrorists were involved in previous attacks targeting security forces, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), and civilians.
Interior Minister Senator Mohsin Naqvi praised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police for the successful operations. In a statement, Naqvi said he pays tribute to the police for thwarting the “nefarious designs of Indian-sponsored terrorists.”
He added that the actions of the KP police against militants are commendable and that the nation is proud of its brave security personnel.

Meanwhile, security operations also took place in Balochistan. In Turbat, a female police constable was martyred in a targeted firing incident, while security forces reportedly thwarted a major terrorist attack on a police station, jail, and judicial complex in Dera Bugti.
