US Offers Iran 20-Year Nuclear Freeze Amid Pakistani Mediation

US President Trump has offered Iran a new deal, proposing a 20-year suspension of its nuclear program in exchange for an agreement. The offer was made amid mediation efforts by Pakistan, with the US president praising the Pakistani Prime Minister and Field Marshal for their role.

Mr. Trump revealed that a recent ceasefire was enacted at Pakistan’s request.

Responding to the development, Iran’s Foreign Minister expressed a lack of trust in the United States. He stated that serious intent must be shown by the US before any talks can proceed.

Meanwhile, China has also urged for a diplomatic solution. A Chinese official affirmed that the country will continue to work to promote negotiations.
