He has been critical of the KP provincial government's performance, describing the chief minister as 'weak' and suggesting he should resign. Kundi has also repeatedly stated that imposing Governor's Rule remains an option, in consultation with the President and Prime Minister, if the law and order situation in the province deteriorates.
