The criticism follows at least two recent major attacks in the province. According to details shared in parliament, an attack on police lines in Kohat last week resulted in approximately 18 police personnel being martyred and 36 others injured. A separate, more recent attack reportedly left around 12 security forces personnel martyred and another 30 to 35 people injured. During the debate, lawmakers accused the provincial chief minister of neglecting his duties in the face of the violence.
