Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye to enhance military cooperation

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Defence, Prince Khalid bin Salman, has reiterated the commitment to continue joint efforts to counter attacks on the Kingdom. In a post on the social media platform X following a meeting with Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Saudi minister stated that they had praised the outcomes of the recent meeting of military chiefs from the Makkah Agreement countries.

He added that discussions included the recent attacks on civilian and economic installations in Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Saudi Minister of Defence Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met in Riyadh to discuss the security situation and recent attacks targeting Makkah and other facilities in the Kingdom.

According to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), both leaders emphasized the importance of continuing joint efforts to confront these attacks under the framework of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.

The meeting also praised the outcomes of the recent tripartite meeting of the Chiefs of Staff from countries participating in the defence agreement. Discussions covered matters of regional security and bilateral defence cooperation.

The Saudi side included Minister of State Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Oyayari and Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, among other officials.
