President Zardari returns to Pakistan, avoids political questions

Upon his return to Pakistan from a visit to the United Kingdom, President Asif Ali Zardari was accompanied by his personal physician, Dr Asim Hussain.

Speaking to a private news channel before his departure from London, the president stated that he was in good health but avoided answering questions regarding the current political situation in Pakistan, including the debate over new provinces.

Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr Mohammad Faisal Tipu, saw the president off.

According to new reports, President Asif Ali Zardari cut his visit to the UK short to return to Pakistan amid what has been described as important political developments in the country. During his time in London, the president was reportedly holding meetings with senior members of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
