Iran claims strikes on US bases in Jordan, UAE; Emirates denies attack

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence has denied reports of any attack on its Al Minhad Air Base. The denial came after Iran claimed it had launched retaliatory strikes against US bases in both Jordan and the UAE. According to Iranian media, the actions were in response to a US strike on Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island. US Central Command confirmed its forces had targeted two Iranian launchers on the island, stating they were being prepared for an attack in the Strait of Hormuz. US sources also claimed that ballistic missiles fired by Iran towards Jordan were intercepted without causing major damage.

Separately, a supertanker reportedly caught fire after hitting two sea mines in the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz. Following the incident, Iran's Revolutionary Guards warned that any vessel violating its rules in the strait would face consequences. In a related development, US President Donald Trump claimed in a social media post that Iran's Kharg Island energy hub was being destroyed, a claim not immediately confirmed by US or Iranian officials.
