Qatar PM to Visit Tehran for US-Iran Mediation Efforts

Qatar is mediating between the US and Iran as a nearly six-month-long conflict has stalled with no diplomatic breakthrough. While a June ceasefire has largely held, tensions remain high over US economic sanctions and control of the Strait of Hormuz, where oil traffic has been severely disrupted. The visit follows similar diplomatic efforts by officials from Pakistan and Oman.
