Pakistan condemns Israeli airstrike on Syrian airbase

Reports suggest the Israeli airstrikes were a sign of defiance against the United States, which has been aiding the new Syrian administration supported by Turkiye.

In response to the attack, Syrian Foreign Minister Assad al-Shibani demanded an end to the strikes, stating that Israel should reconsider its policy towards Syria as its allies are also involved.

Pakistan has strongly condemned the Israeli airstrike on the Abu al-Duhur airbase in Idlib, Syria, calling it an unprovoked attack.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Foreign Office described the strike as a "flagrant violation of the international law" with the potential to undermine regional peace and stability.

The statement expressed "unwavering solidarity with the brotherly people of Syria" and reiterated Pakistan's full support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic.

Islamabad also called on the international community to play its role in ending repeated violations of international law by Israeli forces and to hold them accountable for destabilizing actions in the region.

Pakistan has strongly condemned the Israeli airstrike on a military airbase in Syria's Idlib province. A Foreign Office spokesperson issued a statement denouncing the attack.
