The Ministry of Religious Affairs has changed the start date for receiving Hajj 2027 applications under both government and private schemes. Aspiring pilgrims can now submit their applications from August 18, instead of the previously announced date of August 17.

Applications and payments can be submitted online through the Pak Hajj app and digital portal, or at designated bank branches. The ministry stated that the digital system is designed to reduce queues and additional expenses for pilgrims.

Under the government Hajj scheme, a quota of 107,526 pilgrims has been allocated. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and only those who are already pre-registered will be eligible. The cost for the 40-day package under the government scheme has been set at Rs1.2 million, which will be collected in two equal installments. The collection of the first installment is scheduled to begin on August 17.

For the private Hajj scheme, a quota of 71,684 pilgrims has been allocated, which constitutes 40 percent of the total quota. According to the ministry, approximately 400,000 pre-registered pilgrims have entered the final stage of the application process.
