Speaking at a press conference in Peshawar, he accused the government of collecting over Rs 800 billion from the public through levies to cover its own incompetence. He also noted that the frequency of fuel price adjustments has increased from a fortnightly and weekly basis to now being a daily occurrence.
On foreign policy, Hafiz Naeem welcomed a defense pact among Muslim nations and suggested that Iran should also be included. He added that while the Afghan government has a responsibility to prevent its territory from being used for terrorism against Pakistan, Pakistan should also seek to resolve issues through dialogue and understanding.

He accused the ruling elite of pushing citizens into an inflationary crisis while refusing to cut their own privileges, such as official aircraft, government vehicle expenses, and perks like free fuel and electricity. Rehman highlighted that students, motorcyclists, workers, and farmers are burdened with indirect taxes on petroleum products, affecting even those whose incomes are below the taxable income threshold.
