The first information report, dated August 4, was registered at the New Town police station. It invokes sections of the Pakistan Penal Code and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act. Two named suspects, Azhar alias Lumba and Zeeshan Habib, along with 20-25 unidentified individuals, have been nominated. The FIR states that a man identified as Amir sustained a bullet wound in his arm, while Asad and Kashir Ali were also injured and taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The suspects reportedly fired at each other and in the air, causing terror. Police stated that supporters of the Mustafa Kamal-Anis Qaimkhani group allegedly beat and threw out members of the Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui group from the party headquarters.
