LA-27 Muzaffarabad-I Unofficial Results from 196 Polling Stations

Unofficial results for LA-27 Muzaffarabad-I are now available from 196 out of 197 polling stations, indicating the vote count is nearing completion for this constituency.

Unofficial results from the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) by-elections indicate that the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) candidate Sardar Tabarak is leading in LA-27 Muzaffarabad-I with 13,352 votes, based on 105 out of 197 polling stations counted. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Noreen Arif is second with 9,362 votes, followed by PPP’s Sardar Javed with 8,160 votes.

In LA-28 Muzaffarabad-II, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Bazil Naqvi is ahead with 24,219 votes from 146 out of 174 polling stations. PML-N’s Chaudhry Shehzad is close behind with 23,734 votes, a margin of 485 votes. The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has clarified that these figures are preliminary and unofficial.

Separately, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has reportedly decided to contest the Azad Kashmir elections independently.

Vote counting is now underway at all polling stations in Azad Jammu and Kashmir's (AJK) LA-27 Muzaffarabad-I and LA-28 Muzaffarabad-II constituencies. Meanwhile, Rana Sanaullah has rejected the rigging allegations made by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), calling the video evidence submitted by the PPP as fake.

Polling for the by-elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly seats LA-27 Muzaffarabad-I and LA-28 Muzaffarabad-II has officially concluded. Following the end of the voting period, the process of vote counting has commenced.

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has renewed its allegations of rigging during the ongoing by-elections in two constituencies of Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The party claims that polling staff were allegedly found with official ballot papers and polling bags inside the house of a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supporter in LA-27 Muzaffarabad-I (Kotla), approximately two kilometres from the designated polling site in union council Bheri.

The PPP further stated that polling staff at polling station no.3 reportedly moved to the residence of a PML-N candidate, abandoning their official post. PPP Vice President Sherry Rehman shared a statement on X, expressing concern over these reports and stating that videos related to the alleged rigging by PML-N have been submitted to the Election Commission as evidence. She demanded immediate disciplinary and legal action. An Election Commission official, Khawaja Muhammed Ahsan, confirmed that a PPP worker had shared some videos regarding the allegations.
