Parts of Lahore experienced light to heavy rainfall on Monday, August 3, amid hot and humid conditions. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more showers in the city over the next few hours.

According to available reports, rain was recorded in areas including Kot Lakhpat, Johar Town, Township, Green Town, Ravi Road, and Tajpura. The highest rainfall was measured in Farrukhabad at 19.6 mm, while Allama Iqbal Town received 3.2 mm.

The current temperature in the city was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius, with a potential to reach 36 degrees. Humidity levels were high at 80%, contributing to a sultry atmosphere. Winds were reported to be light at 8 km/h.

Officials have noted that this is the fourth spell of the current monsoon season. While the rain may provide temporary relief from the heat, the PMD has indicated that humidity is likely to increase following the downpours.
