Small Car Prices Expected to Rise Significantly in Pakistan

Small cars, specifically 800cc and 660cc models, are expected to experience a significant price increase in Pakistan due to rising taxes. While the government had made previous announcements, it appears decisions have changed, possibly influenced by conditions from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

If these price increases materialize, it will become challenging for consumers, especially new buyers, to afford petrol cars. The country’s auto policy is still pending. Rumors are circulating about a potential reduction in import duty on used cars; however, if existing single cars face a substantial tax burden, reportedly up to 122% including customs and other levies, it raises concerns about affordability for the public.

Pakistan News will update this story as more confirmed details become available.
