Latest Updates

A judicial magistrate in Lahore has extended the physical remand of four suspects, including a relative of a senior political figure, by five days until July 13 in the alleged abduction and sexual assault case involving two foreign women. The suspects were presented before the magistrate at the Cantonment Courts after their initial five-day remand expired.

During the hearing, the prosecution requested an extension, stating that while DNA and fingerprint tests had been conducted, police still needed to recover a vehicle, a laptop, cash, and weapons believed to be linked to the case. The defense counsel for two suspects opposed the extension, arguing their clients had no connection to the alleged offenses and that the matter was a cryptocurrency dispute falling under the Federal Investigation Agency’s jurisdiction.

The counsel also questioned the status of another suspect, identified as “Boss,” who was allegedly arrested but not produced in court, and claimed his clients were being subjected to a “media trial.” Police had initially booked five suspects in the case, with four arrested.

Pakistan News will update this story as more confirmed details become available.
