Across both men’s and women’s events, only Martina Navratilova, with 120 victories, has won more singles matches at the All England Club.
In what will be his record-extending 66th Grand Slam quarter-final, the 39-year-old Djokovic is set to face either Canadian third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime or Spanish 22nd seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
“Survive to thrive, that’s how I feel. So hopefully the thriving part is coming,” Djokovic said after the match. “Our mind wanders all the time, it’s very hard to keep it in the present moment, whoever does that is a winner.”
The seven-time champion remains on track for a potential semi-final against defending champion Jannik Sinner. Djokovic is currently aiming to win a record 25th Grand Slam singles title, which would also equal Federer’s record of eight Wimbledon men’s singles titles.
