Pakistan has issued a warning concerning the water issue, with various analyses underscoring the significance of the Indus Waters Treaty. Experts have highlighted that any water-related actions by India could have serious implications. Punjab Information and Culture Minister Azma Bokhari stated that India’s BJP-led government has adopted a fascist approach, believing it can violate the Indus Waters Treaty and international laws governing transboundary water distribution without accountability. The Pakistan Army’s top leadership has affirmed its commitment to protect the country’s water rights amid tensions with India over the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT). The declaration was made during the 276th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Monday, chaired by Field Marshal Asim Munir.
