A lightning strike on a women’s seminary in Upper Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, injured 22 female students on Wednesday.

The incident occurred in Rangoon village within the Usheri Dara area. Reports indicate that approximately 260 students were present at the seminary when the lightning struck.

Local residents immediately began rescue operations following the event. The injured students were transported to THQ Hospital Wari for medical treatment. Rescue efforts were reportedly hampered by the remote location of the village.
