CDWP Approves 15 Development Projects Worth Rs 34.74 Billion

The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on Thursday approved 15 development projects valued at Rs 34.74 billion in a meeting held in Islamabad.

Chaired by Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, the forum gave the green light to initiatives across diverse sectors such as mineral exploration, healthcare, digital infrastructure, security, energy, robotics, and road connectivity.

Among the approved projects are the establishment of a national Emerging Technologies Data Centre, the development of a National Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem Program, and the deployment of the Pakistan Communication Satellite – 2. Other projects include upgrading the electricity supply network in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) and developing major road and railway infrastructure.

The Planning Minister noted that the projects are aligned with the government’s focus on digital transformation and sustainable economic growth.
