Processions for the 8th of Muharram-ul-Haram are being held in various cities. In Peshawar, a Zuljinah procession departed from Kochi Bazaar.

Meanwhile, Lahore is on high alert as 425 Majalis and 85 processions are reportedly taking place. A Shabih-e-Zuljanah procession was also held in the Islampura area.
