In his National Assembly speech, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari specifically criticised Defence Minister Khawaja Asif for his recent remarks concerning Rawalakot, Kashmir.

Mr. Bhutto Zardari issued an apology to the people of Kashmir for the minister’s statement. “I apologise to the people of Kashmir for Khawaja Asif’s statement,” he said on the floor of the house.

In his address to the National Assembly, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also stated that the PPP is “ready for polls,” in what was described as a message to the PML-N.

In his speech, Mr. Bhutto also reportedly referred to a constitutional amendment as a “lolly pop.” He questioned how long the country could “survive on lollipops,” in what was described as a challenge to the PML-N leadership.
