Iran’s chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has dismissed recent warnings from the United States, declaring that Tehran is fully prepared for military retaliation. In a social media post, Ghalibaf asserted that American pressure tactics have failed and reflect Washington’s desperation, adding that Iran’s armed forces are ready to respond decisively. “No matter what they say, it is we who will take action,” he stated.

The exchange followed a threat from former US President Donald Trump, who demanded on his Truth Social platform that Iran stop its “proxies in Lebanon from causing trouble.” Trump warned that failure to comply could trigger a US strike “with even greater force” than previous attacks, amid ongoing Israeli military action in the region.
