An agreement has been reached between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) to form a government in Gilgit-Baltistan. The development was announced during a joint press conference in Gilgit attended by the leadership of both parties.

Ppp leaders Nayyar Bukhari and Qamar Zaman Kaira, along with the party’s nominated candidate for Chief Minister, Amjad Hussain Advocate, confirmed the new alliance and thanked the IPP for its cooperation.
