BANNU: At least seven people were killed and three others injured in two separate remote-controlled explosions in the Marka Bera area of Bannu’s Wazir sub-division on Saturday.

According to police, the first blast targeted a private Datsun passenger vehicle, killing five people on the spot. The second explosion occurred approximately a kilometre away, targeting a vehicle that was transporting the wounded from the first incident to a hospital, killing two more people.

Security forces and rescue teams rushed to the sites, shifting the deceased and injured to nearby health facilities.
