PML-N MPA demands Nawaz Sharif’s photo on Rs 5,000 note

Elaborating on his demand in the Punjab Assembly, PML-N MPA Arshad Malik clarified that the portrait of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should be placed on the Rs 5,000 banknote alongside the picture of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Malik justified his proposal by stating that it was Nawaz Sharif who put the country on the path of progress and development.
