Mojtaba Khamenei’s Key Role in US-Iran Deal Revealed

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, has officially ratified the memorandum of understanding reached with the United States. He stated that despite having a different personal opinion, he approved the deal in the national interest and out of a sense of responsibility, following assurances from the president and the chairman of the National Security Council to protect the nation’s rights.

As part of the interim agreement, Iran’s Strait of Hormuz authority announced it will waive transit fees for 60 days. During this period, fees for security, safety, environmental services, and related insurance will be suspended. However, all vessels seeking passage must submit transit requests at least 48 hours in advance and coordinate routes to ensure safe navigation through the strait.
