South Africa U-19 Women to Tour Pakistan for Historic T20 Series
South Africa’s Under-19 women’s cricket team is set to tour Pakistan for the first time in July for a five-match T20 series against the Pakistan Women’s U-19 side, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced.
All five matches of the series will be played at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from July 14 to 24. The South African team is scheduled to arrive in Karachi on July 10, with both teams participating in training sessions at the venue from July 11 to 13. The T20 matches are scheduled for July 14, 17, 19, 22, and 24, with match timings to be announced at a later date.
Officials stated the series will serve as a crucial preparation platform for the Pakistan team ahead of the upcoming ACC Women’s U-19 T20 Asia Cup this year and the ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup scheduled for next year.
The PCB’s Women’s Cricket Department recently organized training camps in Karachi for U-19 players to strengthen the development pipeline. Pakistan’s last bilateral T20 series was against Bangladesh, where the national team secured a 3-2 series victory.
