CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah Holds Live Post-Budget Press Conference

In his post-budget press conference, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah revealed that provinces had successfully defended their constitutional rights after an initial proposal was considered to reduce their share from the NFC award. He stated that due to the difficult national and global situation, the federal government consulted with the provinces, and ultimately a solution was found within the constitutional framework, with the provinces agreeing to support the federation.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the Sindh Revenue Board’s revenue collection grew by 23 percent in the current year. He also pointed to key budget measures, including support for farmers that led to a record wheat harvest and an increase in the minimum wage to Rs 43,000 to alleviate financial hardship for employees.
