In his confessional statement, arrested militant Umar Din, also known as Jazba, revealed that his Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Khwarij faction receives financial support and weapons from commanders based in Afghanistan. He stated that he received training in Afghanistan on using rocket launchers and that weapons are smuggled across the border into Pakistan. According to Din, all Khwarij commanders are accompanied by 60 to 70 Afghan nationals.

Din implicated the network in an attack on the Shadi Khel base and a bombing on Kotah Khwah Road that killed seven police officers. He accused the group’s commanders of using the name of jihad to mislead youth while engaging in criminal activities such as extortion, car snatching, and kidnapping for ransom. He also alleged widespread drug use and immoral activities within the group’s centers, urging young people to reject their false narratives.
