Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon met in Islamabad to discuss measures to curb drug trafficking and improve law and order in Sindh’s major cities. Naqvi assured that the federal government would extend all possible support for maintaining law and order and combating narcotics in the province.

Memon emphasized that effective coordination between the federation and provinces is the best way to address national challenges, stating that the Sindh government would intensify its efforts to eliminate crime and protect citizens. Naqvi also commended the Sindh Police for successful operations against dacoits in the riverine areas.

Two police personnel, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and a constable, have been dismissed from service for their alleged connections to Anmol, also known as ‘Pinky’. According to Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) sources, the two officials were accused of being in contact with Pinky over the past few years.

The dismissals were finalized after the completion of an inquiry report. The officials, identified as Ali Qureshi and Kafil, were recently taken into custody where their formal statements were recorded. The investigation also included a forensic analysis of their mobile phones and a review of their bank account details.
