Civilian Killed, Two Injured in South Waziristan Firing Incident
A civilian was killed while a police officer and another citizen were injured after unidentified individuals opened fire on law enforcement personnel in Wana, South Waziristan. The incident occurred in the Razzai Bazaar area during a curfew.
According to a police spokesperson, officers signaled a group of suspicious individuals to stop, who responded by opening fire. The police returned fire in response.
One of the injured civilians, identified as Obaid, later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital. Following the exchange, police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. A case has been registered against the assailants under the Anti-Terrorism Act, and an investigation is now underway.
