Gold Prices Surge in Pakistan, Silver Rate Declines
The price of gold surged in markets across Pakistan on Thursday, continuing its upward trend in line with international rates.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs 1,523 per tola, reaching a new high of Rs 469,285. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold rose by Rs 1,305 to settle at Rs 402,335.
The domestic price hike mirrored an increase in the global market, where the price of gold climbed by approximately $14.49 to $4,468.49 per ounce.
In contrast, the price of silver registered a decline. The rate for 24-karat silver fell by Rs 97 per tola, with the new price recorded at Rs 7,797.
