Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Agha Rafiullah has accused the federal government of planning to rig the upcoming elections in Gilgit-Baltistan. Speaking on a television program, Rafiullah alleged that the PML-N-led government has devised a plan to ‘steal’ the election.

He further warned that action committees, similar to those formed in Azad Kashmir, would be established in Gilgit-Baltistan in response. During the same program, Minister of State Barrister Aqeel Malik asserted that the ruling coalition partners trust each other and that no legislation is passed without the PPP’s consent.
