Pakistan Seeks Consular Access for Youth Who Crossed LoC for Love

Pakistan has formally requested consular access from India for a young man who crossed the Line of Control (LoC) into Indian-administered Kashmir reportedly for love.

Diplomatic sources confirmed that Zeeshan Mir, a Pakistani national, reached the Uri sector on the night between May 30 and 31. He is said to have crossed the heavily militarized border to meet a girl from the region.

In response to the situation, the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi has sent a formal letter to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs regarding the matter.
