US President Donald Trump on Tuesday confirmed that talks with Iran are happening ‘continuously,’ refuting reports that Tehran had broken off contact over recent Israeli attacks in Lebanon. In a social media post, Trump labeled reports of a halt in communication as ‘false and erroneous,’ stating that conversations have been ongoing daily.

While noting that ‘one never knows’ where the negotiations would lead, Trump reiterated his message to Iran: ‘It’s time, one way or another, for you to make a Deal.’ He added that the situation has been ongoing for 47 years and ‘cannot be allowed to go on any longer.’
